Your initial consultation
Case history where we discuss what brings you in, your lifestyle and medical history, including any lists of medications and scans you might have.
Examination, during which we may ask you to remove certain items of clothing, only those which you are comfortable with. We encourage you to wear lose fitting clothing or bring a vest top and/or shorts to change into if this will make you feel more comfortable. Examination will consist of observation, palpation and a comparison of active, passive and resisted joint ranges of movement. Neurological and orthopaedic testing where necessary.
Discussion, we will discuss treatment options and decide the best one going forward. If hands on treatment is not appropriate due to the diagnosis being out with my professional remit then I will refer you onwards to ensure you get the correct help.
Treatment, if in practice treatment is appropriate and you are happy this will involve a range of techniques depending on the area being treated.
