Meet the Team
Lily Dyer, BSc (Hons), M.Ost
Swiftly jumping in to help the family practice following Richard’s illness, Lily joined in 2024 after achieving a first-class master’s degree in osteopathic medicine from the European School of Osteopathy.
Initially Lily graduated from the University of Edinburgh with a degree in Biomedical Sciences, after which she decided to follow in her mother, father and grandfather’s footsteps and train as an osteopath. This background in medical research and science has allowed Lily to really understand the pathophysiological processes underlying disease and pain.
Lily has post-graduate qualifications in Sports Massage and Western Medical Acupuncture combining these techniques with structural and cranial osteopathic approaches, treating a large variety of musculoskeletal complaints. Her special interests are helping the elderly continue mobility, treating babies and children of all ages, and helping pregnant women.
Richard Dyer D.O, senior practitioner
Richard qualified as an Osteopath in 1990 from the European School of Osteopathy. After working for one year in Perth and Dundee he moved back to the north-east to join with Dr Haydon Dyer, his father, in 1991. Over the years Richard has helped 1000’s of patients in the north east with his expertise and honesty. Sadly Richard stopped work suddenly in April 2024 due to illness, thankfully he is fully recovered but has still not returned to work.
David Van den Haute M.Ost
David’s journey into osteopathy began in his teenage years, when osteopathy played a key role in managing his scoliosis. This personal experience sparked a passion for the field, which has only deepened with time. Having graduated from the European School of Osteopathy, David brings not only fresh enthusiasm but also a wealth of up-to-date knowledge to his practice.
David employs a comprehensive approach, combining structural techniques with cranial osteopathy when beneficial. This allows him to treat patients of all ages with varied problems, and different approaches that suit the patients’ needs.
In addition to his osteopathic training, David has completed three Ironman 70.3 events and is currently training for a full Ironman. His personal athletic pursuits have given him firsthand experience with the demands and challenges athletes face, particularly in injury prevention and recovery.
